STRATEGY Enterasys, formerly Cabletron approached Eclipse Product Development with an objective to design, engineer and manufacture in a 4 month window. In doing so the Industrial Design team was directed to follow an established visual language created in the RoamAbout(tm) graphics and previous product. This visual language is the play off the radio waves from a central point concept. The major mechanical engineering challenge was to design and develop a heat sink to draw out heat from very hot components. |
