Lantis Laser Inc. selects Eclipse as development partner

Lantis Laser Inc. (Denville, NJ) announced today that it has selected Eclipse as a development partner for its chair-side Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) Dental Imaging System after an extensive review of product design firms.

Doug Hamilton, Vice President Research and Development at Lantis, commented, "OCT is not a modality that many firms have had experience with, so we looked for a partner that had a solid industrial design core and a broad vendor network to bring in the best available resources for each discipline that is deployed in the OCT System. Eclipse provides us with this development model and the flexibility we need to complete this development phase in an efficient and timely manner."

The OCT System is a light-based technology that produces diagnostic images in real-time at resolutions up to 10 times that of conventional x-rays and without any harmful radiation. Once deployed, the OCT Dental Imaging System is expected to have a major impact on early diagnostics and the advancement of minimally invasive treatment performed in general practice dental offices.
