Phase 0 - Foundation

In order to start the design process, we actively immerse
ourselves into the lives and markets of the users whom our clients would be
serving. The goal of this type of research is to reveal "unmet" and
"unverbalized" needs while creating a visual language very appropriate for
the marketplace.

Phase 1 - Ideation/Development

|
With the aid of the discoveries made in the foundation
phase, we can now generate conceptual directions for the design and
aesthetic directions for the final product. Upon conclusion of the concept
phase we will select the final design from a series of 3-D soft model forms
and 2-D computer renderings.

Phase 2 - Refinement/Engineering

|
During the refinement phase, we will compile all the data
gathered in the foundation and concept phases to generate one master
database. This database is generated with consideration to ergonomics,
manufacturing technique and constraints, specifications and a cohesive
design aesthetic derived from the concept phase of our process. The end of
the refinement phase represents the "design freeze" for Industrial design
and marks the beginning of design for manufacturing.

Phase 3 - Implementation
|
|
Upon successful completion of the design refinement phase,
we begin to develop the product for its particular manufacturing techniques
and mechanical robustness. Concurrently, we keep the client's specification
and testing goals in line, design intent maintained, and schedule for
product launch on time. During this phase we act as a liaison to the client
in getting their production tools made, first article inspected and a final
product hitting the channels to generate revenue for the
client.

Phased Process
|
Eclipse Product Development utilizes a four Phase rapid
product development process. Client interaction throughout each phase of
the process is the key for success in launching the right product, to the
